The innovative franchisees of McDonalds in the Tri-Cities of Mid-Michigan thought it would be clever marketing if they DID NOT participate in the national Coke Glass give away, wherein an old-fashioned Coca-Cola glass (real glass!) can be had with the purchase of a super-sized Value Meal.
I guess they thought they would make more money if I decided to go to Taco Bell instead.
Do churches ever do the same?

Why go to a church that serves stale crackers and grape juice for communion when I could go to a church that serves stale crackers and grape juice that transubstantiates! YUM.

I keep the communion cups at my church... it's the free take away - but that's not the question (and not as good as a coke glass, or jam jar…).
I have to wonder and often laugh at some churches who refuse to play certain music (eg: TobyMac, Group1Crew, etc...) or refuse to read anything but KJV or NAS – all because they think the best (and only) way to reach people and worship is with the classics. Slow, melancholy, organ classics and hard to comprehend Bibical text in a lost language. Then one day the seats/pews are empty and the elders can’t figure out what went wrong.
